MUTEK is a non-profit organization dedicated to the dissemination and development of digital creativity in sound, music, and audiovisual arts. Its mandate is to provide a platform for the most original and visionary artists currently working in these fields, with the intention of offering a space for initiation and discovery for the audiences we seek to develop. Since its first edition in the year 2000, the MUTEK Festival has distinguished itself as an international meeting point for original and avant-garde programming. In terms of content, the festival strives to be diverse, with interests spanning both the experimental and the more playful side of digital creativity. In a world of constant evolution and change, the “MU” in MUTEK consciously refers to the idea of “mutation.” Today, a MUTEK network exists with branches in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, providing an essential platform for promoting and exploring far-reaching artistic content, while reflecting a cultural effervescence that is both real and global.
